Construction Phases

Walsh Custom Homes understands that every customer is unique.  While some may desire to be very involved with the building process, others may rely completely upon our team for the construction of their home.  We take great pride in ensuring that the building process is a truly enjoyable and rewarding experience every step of the way.

Exceptional homes are the result of a disciplined approach to custom building.  Site planners, engineers, architects, designers and construction professionals ensure that each phase of building is completed on time and to exact specification.  That's why we confidently provide you with a time line for building your custom home and update you regularly on our progress.

The Construction Phases outlined below give a brief overview of our time-tested approach in creating an exceptional experience while building your custom home.

Initial Meeting 
Establish report, determine customers' lifestyle, priorities and desires including but   not limited to  time-line, location, amenities, vision, style of home, square footage, floor plan, budget and financing.

Focus Meeting
Bring objectives formulated in our initial meeting into focus.   Establish construction specifications, pricing and contract agreement.  Contact construction financing institution for pre-approval. 

Home site Evaluation Consultation
Select and secure appropriate building site together with topographical survey, boundary map and engineering evaluation.

Building Design Plan
Design or review proposed floorplans and elevations, establish a full site and plot plan, meet with design team concerning architectural, interior and exterior design concepts, create a detailed budget of all materials and specifications, submit for architectural review, if applicable,  submit to financing institution for approval, close on construction financing.

Begin Construction
Periodic meetings/walk-throughs with homeowner including but not limited to on-site approval of framing, lighting, electrical, low voltage and extensive woodworking.  Preclosing walk-through inspection and punch-list to complete any outstanding items, final walk-through, closing, move-in.

Warranty and Beyond
Walsh Custom Homes offers a very comprehensive builder's warranty that protects their homeowners long after closing.  Not only are we always available to meet and give our clients personal attention to every detail and decision throughout the entire building process but we stand behind our homes and address any and all warranty issues that may arise after closing.  Our personal guarantee is complete customer satisfaction in every  home we build.
